The vaccination of 7 million people is expected to be completed between December 15 to 17, according to the Department of Health.
The government hopes to complete the Covid-19 vaccinations of seven million Filipinos during the second round of national vaccination days, which will take place from December 15 to 17, according to Health Secretary Francisco Duque III.
“Ang tina-target natin dito mga seven million for the second dose para maabot ‘yung pinupuntiryang 54 million by the end of the year na nabigyan ng kumpletong bakuna (We’re targeting seven million here for the second dose so we can reach the 54 million target of complete doses by the end of the year),” he said in a televised public briefing.
The first phase of the three-day vaccination campaign was held from November 29 to December 1, however, due to increased demand and the need to continue the campaign, it was prolonged until December 3.
The campaign attempted to boost immunization rates in the country, with 8.01 million doses administered in the first three days.
It fell short of the nine million dose goal, but 9.9 million doses were delivered on December 3.
As of December 6, 92,752,986 doses had been provided, with 38,699,023 people fully vaccinated, according to the Department of Health’s National Covid-19 vaccination dashboard.
