MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Health (DOH) revealed on Monday that the daily average Covid-19 cases of 510 from March 14 to 20 were 13% fewer than the number of new infections before the week in question.

According to the Department of Health’s most recent case bulletin, 3,572 new cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) were reported in the previous week.

Only one case was added to the tally of severe and critical infections within the same time period, bringing the total to 805 from 1,006.

Only 619 of the country’s 3,473 intensive care unit (ICU) beds are being used, while 16.6% of the 4,532 non-ICU beds are being utilized.

Meanwhile, there have been 655 confirmed deaths in the last week.

Covid-19 vaccination has reached 72.41 percent of the country’s target population.

According to the Department of Health, 75.31 percent of older individuals have been immunized against the disease.

The elderly make up 8,721,357 people, while the target demographic for vaccination is 80 percent of the population (90,005,357 people).

According to DOH data as of March 20, 65,171,415 people have been fully vaccinated, with 11,530,728 people having got their booster injections.
