MANILA, Philippines – On Saturday, a shear line will bring occasional rainfall to the eastern part of northern Luzon, while easterlies will affect the eastern parts of southern Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao.

Cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will be experienced in Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Ifugao, and Mountain Province due to the presence of a shear line, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) in its 4 a.m. weather bulletin.

The confluence of northeasterly and easterly winds that generates rain clouds is known as a shear line.

Meanwhile, the eastern Visayas, northern Mindanao, Caraga, Bohol, and Davao Oriental will experience cloudy skies with sporadic rain showers and thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the easterlies will bring partly overcast sky and isolated rain showers or thunderstorms to Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

Northern Luzon will be blasted by moderate to strong northeasterly winds, with moderate to rough coastal water conditions.

Over the rest of Luzon, moderate to severe northeast to east winds will dominate, with comparable coastal water conditions.

Light to moderate winds will blow from the northeast to the north, bringing slight to moderate seas to the Visayas and Mindanao.

Metro Manila will have temperatures ranging from 25°C to 34°C; Baguio City will have temperatures ranging from 16°C to 24°C; Legazpi City will have temperatures ranging from 25°C to 32°C; Metro Cebu will have temperatures ranging from 25°C to 32°C; Metro Davao will have temperatures ranging from 24°C to 33°C, and Zamboanga City will have temperatures ranging from 24°C to 33°C.
