“Best assets” of DSWD’s workforce: Tulfo

Government social workers have been referred to as the department’s best assets by the Secretary of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Erwin T. Tulfo.

Tulfo remarked as the DSWD recently introduced its upgraded Employee Welfare Subsystem Module for the Human Resource Management Information System (HRMIS) to address the wide range of needs of the department’s employees.

He claimed that the DSWD staff must receive the proper attention to continue providing high-quality public services.

Tulfo stated in his statement during the launch at the central office in Batasan through its Human Resource Management and Development Service, “Under my leadership, we will ensure that the employees’ rights and welfare will be maintained, and we shall seek to discover additional ways, to support them” (HRMDS).

The HRMIS Employee Welfare Subsystem Module offers timely service delivery to fulfill the workforce’s needs, including help to those in need of psychosocial and mental health care.

The system also provides employees easy access to services like GSIS Group Personal Accident Insurance claims, Employees Compensation Program claims, bereavement services, travel incentives for retiring employees, requests for congratulatory announcements as needed, and consultation with the HRMDS-Welfare Division on any issues or questions.

The accomplishment of the department’s mandate will arise from ensuring the well-being of the workforce, according to DSWD HRMDS Director Ana Nuguid.

Tulfo applauded the HRMDS for its ongoing efforts to offer effective employee support services.

The DSWD central office will be conducting a pilot installation of the HRMIS Employee Welfare Subsystem module.

The system will be built and implemented at the various DSWD field offices.
