On Monday, the PhilHealth in Davao Region emphasized the importance of using the PhilHealth member portal, an online tool that allows members to access their medical records.

PhilHealth stated in a statement that the service will save members time, money, and the chance of contracting coronavirus sickness in 2019. (Covid-19).

Members can use the portal to view and print their member data record (MDR), check and validate their membership and contribution information, and determine whether they need to update their records.

“It’s very convenient because I was able to print my MDR and even pay my contributions on a regular basis utilizing the GCash option in the portal,” Mae Fortuna, a self-paying PhilHealth member in this city, said.

Updates or modifications to one’s membership information can be sought via email from the nearest local health insurance office, rather than through the member portal, according to PhilHealth.

“This assures that any modifications or updates are official and authorized by PhilHealth, as well as the confidentiality of individual records,” according to the statement.

Apart from viewing and printing, the portal enables self-paying users to obtain a premium account statement and pay their contributions online through PhilHealth’s partner merchants.

To begin using the portal to access one’s records, a member must first register at https://memberinquiry.philhealth.gov.ph/member/.

“This game-changing online facility may be accessible at any time and from the comfort and safety of one’s home using smartphones, laptops, or personal PCs with internet connectivity,” PhilHealth said.
