GSIS to recognize the top 65 government agencies for timely payments.
The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) on Tuesday unveiled the top 65 government organizations it will award for “religiously and precisely paying GSIS premiums and loan payments on schedule” as President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. turned 65.
Wick Veloso, president and general manager of GSIS claimed that the 65 government organizations, including the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, are assisting government personnel in taking advantage of the well-earned benefits to which they are entitled to sacrificing the finest years of their lives.
Veloso stated, “we all know that loan balances, if left unpaid, will balloon to unsustainable sums, eroding members’ benefits and leaving them with little to no earnings at retirement or separation from the service.
He pointed out that these government organizations use GSIS’s numerous programs for their staff.
“We are awarding these 65 agencies because of their persistence in allowing their employees to avail of loans through the GSIS Financial Assistance Loan (GFAL) and Multi-Purpose Plus Loan under a memorandum of agreement with GSIS,” Veloso said.
According to him, government organizations also use GSIS’s Electronic Billing, Collection and Remittance System (EBCS) to send employee premiums and loan payments more quickly.
