The support and collaboration of his constituents, which helped Binan City win numerous awards and promote itself as a hub of trade and commerce, have been acknowledged by Mayor Army Dimaguila Jr.

Dimaguila made the remarks as the city’s three-day annual celebration of Araw ng Binan got underway with a big parade in which students from local schools, youth organizations, socio-civic groups, and corporate institutions took part.

“The Binanenses make Binan a wealthy city. They are incredibly helpful folks. We can rely on their support as long as they are aware that we, their local government representatives, are working hard for Binan Municipal, Dimaguila said in his remarks as he kicked off the celebration on Thursday at the city square.

In honor of the persistent efforts of the city’s officials to promote Binan as a hub of trading and business in Southern Tagalog, he claimed that with the help of the populace, the city was able to win various prizes and medals.

Dimaguila also expressed happiness that Binan had been recognized as one of the top heritage travel locations.

One of the seven main initiatives of Balik-Binan, which was recognized as one of the Ten Outstanding Local Governance Programs in the 2022 Galing Pook Awards, is the revitalization of the Binan Heritage District.

The Historic Alberto Mansion, the ancestral home of Dr. Jose Rizal’s mother Teodora Alonso, is one of the district’s most notable structures.

Binan became a component city on February 2, 2010, in accordance with Republic Act 9740, after its citizens approved the ratification in a plebiscite. It rose to become the 139th city in the Philippines and the fourth in the province of Laguna.
