Starting at 1:00 a.m. Tuesday, there will be only minor price changes for fuel.

Caltex, Cleanfuel, Jetti, Petro Gazz, Phoenix Petroleum, PTT, Seaoil, and Shell announced price increases for gasoline and diesel of PHP0.80 and PHP0.60 per liter, respectively, in separate advisories.

On the other side, Caltex, Seaoil, and Shell will reduce the cost of kerosene by PHP0.10 per liter.

Due to the recent increases in oil prices, the cost of gasoline has increased by a net amount of PHP7.80 per liter since the beginning of the year, while the cost of diesel and kerosene has decreased by PHP1.35 and PHP2.60 per liter, respectively.

This week’s price changes have been driven up by the robust economic indicators from the United States and the rising demand from China.

The Department of Energy reports that the cost of petrol, diesel, and kerosene in Metro Manila ranges from PHP52 to PHP76.85, PHP46.95 to PHP70.48, and PHP64.81 to PHP77.25, respectively.
