🚨📢 MANILA – The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has warned the public regarding two unauthorized investment entities that lack the necessary license from the commission.

In its advisory, the SEC identified Lushapple.ph as one of the entities enticing the public through social media platforms, promising investment earnings of up to 40 percent interest. The entity claims that investors can participate in expanding their electronic devices business and receive earnings effortlessly.

Another flagged entity is Way Home Store Philippines, Inc., which offers investment opportunities through a scheme called “Tasking and Recharging.” The scheme entices prospective investors with online jobs and promises monetary rewards or commissions for completing tasks.

However, the SEC highlighted that the Tasking and Recharging scheme could present a fake Certificate of Incorporation to deceive potential investors.

The SEC warned that these investment schemes bear a resemblance to pyramid schemes, where earnings are based on recruitment fees instead of actual product or service sales. In pyramid schemes, investors are paid using contributions from new members.

The commission reiterated its commitment to combat illegal investment-taking activities through financial literacy campaigns and public advisories. 🚨📢
