In the past two months, additional Covid-19 cases have been reported all over the world, according to the WHO
The World Health Organization (WHO) stated in a weekly overview report released Wednesday that the worldwide number of new Covid-19 cases has been rising over the past two months, with cases of the Delta form recorded in 148 countries, territories, or regions.
The development is mainly attributable to gains in the Western Pacific Region and the Region of the Americas, which recorded increases of 14 percent and 8%, respectively, over the previous week.
Covid-19 instances have already been recorded in over 206 million people across the world, with almost 4.4 million fatalities.
According to the WHO study, the areas with the highest weekly incidence rates of cases per 100,000 population, namely the Americas Region and the European Region, with 147.4 and 121.6 new cases per 100,000 population, respectively, are unchanged from the previous week.
According to the WHO, the United States reported the newest instances in the previous week, with 883,996 new cases, or a 9% rise, followed by Iran (269,975 new cases, or a 9% increase), and India (269,975 new cases, or a 9% increase) (258,121 new cases, 7 percent decrease).
Meanwhile, Indonesia, Brazil, and Russia have recorded the greatest numbers of new fatalities in the previous week, according to the WHO.
