PH will receive an additional 2 million Sinovac medicines from China

The Chinese government is sending an additional 2 million doses of Sinovac vaccine to the Philippines, bringing the total number of doses sent to the Philippines to 5 million.

“Secretary of State (Carlito) Galvez said last night that China will donate another 2 million vaccination doses to the Philippines. I’d want to confirm the news in response to many of my followers in our community “Huang Xilian, China’s ambassador stated on Thursday.

Both the Philippine and Chinese sides, according to Huang, are working closely to expedite the delivery.

“I’m relieved to see that the number of instances in the Philippines is decreasing. I am hopeful that the ongoing vaccination campaign will aid in the country’s early economic and social recovery “China will continue to support Manila in its fight against Covid-19, he said.

The declaration came more than a week after Beijing sent additional immunizations to Manila on October 24.

As the government cranks up its vaccination efforts, the new vaccines are intended to improve the country’s pandemic response.

According to the latest data from the National Task Force against Covid-19, the Philippines administers an average of 511,434 jabs per day.

Eight months after the initial vaccination shipment landed in Manila, approximately 27,749,809 persons had already gotten their full dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
