The Philippine National Police (PNP) recorded 550 new coronavirus illness recoveries on Tuesday (Covid-19).

The PNP Health Service noted in its monthly Covid-19 bulletin that this brought the overall number of recovered cases to 42,128, out of a total of 46,049 confirmed cases since the epidemic began.

Another 331 additional instances were added, bringing the total number of active cases to 3,796. This is down from the 4,015 active illnesses on Monday.

There have been no fresh fatalities, bringing the total death toll to 125.

PNP commander Gen. Dionardo Carlos previously stated that the number of infected police officers has climbed somewhat, but that many of them are asymptomatic.

Carlos also stated that work continues for those who are asymptomatic but can still function while in isolation at home or in a facility.

According to the most recent data as of Tuesday, 216,868 (96.25 percent) of 225,314 personnel have been properly vaccinated, while 7,308 (3.24 percent) are awaiting their second dose.

A total of 1,138 PNP members (0.53 percent) had yet to receive the immunization.
