A total of 130 individuals from the Metro Rail Transit-3 (MRT-3) and its maintenance provider have received Covid-19 vaccination booster doses.

MRT-3 Officer-in-Charge, Assistant Secretary Eymard Eje, stated in a Facebook post on Friday that delivering booster shots to personnel is part of their responsibility to safeguard the safety of both workers and passengers.

“Tinitiyak talaga natin na bakunado ang ating mga empleyado dahil tayo sa hanay ng MRT-3 ang araw-araw na sumasabak para magserbisyo sa mga pasahero (We’re guaranteeing that our workers are vaccinated because here at MRT-3, we’re on the frontlines serving passengers every day

Security marshals, train drivers, ticket salespeople, and station attendants were among the MRT-3 employees that received booster shots.

Meanwhile, the 96 passengers who took part in the voluntary random antigen testing for Covid-19 on Thursday produced no positive results for the second day in a row.
