PAMPANGA’S CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – Two new projects at Camp Julian Olivas have been completed by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

According to a Facebook post on Friday, the two-story Kabataan Kontra Droga at Terorismo building and the Regional Headquarters Support Unit building is part of a DPWH-Philippine National Police (PNP) convergence program.

The agreement, according to DPWH Pampanga 1st District Engineer Almer Miranda, is intended to help improve the police camp’s operation and promote the morale of uniformed and non-uniformed troops.

“We know that maintaining peace and order is critical to achieving inclusive growth, and as a result, we require a safe and secure environment.” Our country would not be able to evolve and will stay stagnant in its economic, political, and social development without security, which is why we are working with the PNP to improve the capabilities of our country’s principal law-enforcement organization,” he said.

The two-story Regional Internal Affairs Service building will be completed this year, followed by a five-story non-commissioned officers’ quarters, with initial funding of PHP20 million and PHP60 million, respectively.

The projects will be supported through the Convergence and Special Support Program, which will be completed by 2023 and is included in the national budget for 2022.
