The northeast monsoon, or “amihan,” will bring isolated light rain showers to most sections of the country, according to the weather bureau.

It’s 4 a.m. in the morning. The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has issued a weather advisory for the Eastern Visayas, Caraga, and Davao regions, predicting occasional rainfall.

Residents in those areas should be on the lookout for possible flash floods or landslides, according to Grace Castaeda, a PAGASA weather forecaster.

The Bicol area, Cagayan de Oro, Isabela, Aurora, and Quezon will have light showers, while Metro Manila and the remainder of the country will see isolated light rains.

Over the whole archipelago, moderate to severe winds and moderate to rough waves will continue to prevail.

The seaboards of northern and central Luzon, the seaboards of Southern Luzon, the seaboards of mainland Palawan, the seaboards of the Visayas, and the northern, western, and eastern seaboards of Mindanao are all expected to experience strong to gale-force winds.

Larger sea vessels are warned against strong waves, while fishing boats and other small seacrafts are cautioned not to venture out into the water.
