In accordance with the Alert Level 3 restrictions in Metro Manila, the Bureau of Immigration (BI) is observing a 60 percent on-site work capacity.

Due to rising cases of the coronavirus disease 2019, the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) also placed the nearby provinces of Cavite, Bulacan, and Rizal under the more stringent Alert Level 3 status from January 5 to 15, according to BI Commissioner Jaime Morente (Covid-19).

“As a result, all BI offices in the NCR (National Capital Region) will operate during weekdays and will maintain a 60 percent on-site work capacity, while implementing appropriate alternate work arrangements,” he said in a statement on Tuesday.

Prior to the new work system, the agency worked with a skeleton crew of 50 percent to 70 percent.

Fully vaccinated clients, according to Morente, are excluded from the online appointment system if they present their vaccination cards or confirmation before entering.

Clients who are unvaccinated or only partially vaccinated, on the other hand, must still schedule appointments online.

Foreigners wishing to submit an Annual Report 2022 must make an appointment through http://e-services.immigration.gov.ph/.

He also urged the general people to adhere to the bare minimum of health and safety regulations.

All foreign nationals possessing immigrant and non-immigrant visas must report in person to the BI within the first 60 days of each calendar year, according to the Alien Registration Act of 1950.
