MANILA, Philippines — Starting April 4, officials and staff of the Court of Appeals (CA), Sandiganbayan, and Court of Tax Appeals (CTA) will work a four-day week.

Separate memos signed by Presiding Justices Remedios Salazar-Fernando (CA), Amparo Cabotaje-Tang (Sandiganbayan), and Roman del Rosario (CTA) were signed on March 30 and made public on Thursday.

Court officials and staff will only be required to report on-site four days a week from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with the remaining one day being worked from home.

Each office’s personnel will be divided into two groups, with one reporting on-site from Monday to Thursday and the other reporting from Tuesday to Friday.

To retain senior management presence throughout the workweek, chiefs of offices or divisions must be isolated from their assistants.

Similarly, all justices, officials, and staff must follow health regulations to the letter.

The judges’ action follows the Supreme Court’s April 4 endorsement of a four-day workweek.
