MILF expresses its support for ‘RoSa’
CITY OF COTABATO – The Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) announced Monday that it is endorsing Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte’s bid for vice president, only days after the group endorsed Vice President Leni Robredo’s presidential bid.
In a statement released Monday, lawyer Naguib Sinarimbo, secretary-general of the United Bangsamoro Justice Party (UBJP), the MILF’s political group, said, “Yes, the MILF is supporting Mayor Sara Duterte’s vice-presidential run.”
Last Monday, MILF commander Ahod “Murad” Ebrahim, who is also the president of the United Bharatiya Janata Party, told reporters that the party is also backing Mayor Sara.
“We have promised President Rodrigo Duterte that we will also back his daughter Sara Duterte’s candidacy,” Ebrahim stated.
