According to a study released Monday by the Department of Health (DOH), the daily average of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) cases increased by 22% from September 19 to 25.

From a daily average of 2,101 between September 12 and September 18, the number rose to 2,556 over the past week.

According to the most recent case bulletin, there have been 242 confirmed deaths and 17,891 new cases.

The DOH reported that 29 more deaths occurred between September 5 and 18.

The number of severe and critical infections increased by two instances over the same period, totaling 790 from 772 the previous week.

Only 576 of the 2,514 intensive care unit (ICU) beds are used, or 22.9 percent, whereas 5,851 of the 21,078 non-ICU beds are used, or 27.8 percent.

Currently, 73,017,553 people, or 93.49 percent of the target population for the nation (78,100,578), have received the Covid-19 vaccination, including 78.36 percent of 8,721,357 seniors.

Out of the completely immunized population, 19,211,908 people have received booster doses since September 25.
