PBBM and other officials participate in the national earthquake drill
The National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) for the first quarter of 2023 was engaged in by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and other cabinet members.
The Malacaan Palace hosted the earthquake drill, which got underway at two o’clock.
Hubert Guevara, the senior deputy executive secretary, Antonio Ernesto Lagdameo Jr., the special assistant to the president, Eduardo Ao, the national security adviser, and Benhur Abalos Jr., the secretary of the department of interior and local government, were all with Marcos.
While there is still no way to foresee when earthquakes will occur, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) earlier urged the public to participate in earthquake drills to reduce casualties.

โ Avoid touching large things, bookcases, and glass windows;
โ Exit the building and get to the designated evacuation area as soon as the shaking stops;
โ While outside, find a space that is open and steer clear of structures, trees, electric posts, and regions that are prone to landslides;
โ Stop the car you’re in if it’s moving and get out.
