The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) has opened the 19th Negosyo Center in Bulacan.
The provincial office of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) inaugurated its 19th Negosyo Center in this hilly town on Thursday as part of the ongoing effort to help micro, small, and medium businesses (MSMEs) thrive across the province.
The Negosyo Center was officially opened by DTI Regional Director Leonila Baluyut, Doa Remedios Trinidad Mayor Marita Flores, DTI Bulacan Provincial Director Edna Dizon, and Bulacan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) Vic Mendoza to bring government services closer to the people.
The Negosyo Center, according to Dizon, seeks to provide aspiring and emerging entrepreneurs with a variety of government services like business counseling services, training, company name registration help, and registration for Barangay Micro Business Enterprises.
In an interview, Dizon stated, “The establishment of Negosyo Center in this hilly town in the province of Bulacan is opportune due to the increasing tourist sector, which has led to the creation of additional companies.”
Tourist arrivals in Doa Remedios Trinidad have increased by 80 percent to 85 percent, according to Flores, since the town reopened to visitors after consecutive community quarantines.
The Negosyo Center, she added, is a “huge assistance” in hastening the establishment of a company in the town.
The Go Negosyo Act, or Republic Act 10644, encourages MSMEs to conduct business more easily by establishing a Negosyo Center.
It is a one-stop-shop for services that allows company owners to process their registration and seek business counseling services, as well as offer business information, advocacy, monitoring, and assessment of business process improvement.
Once a Negosyo Center is established in a community, local business owners will no longer have to queue or go to the closest DTI office to get their company registered and wait days for the process to be completed.
