To consider recommendations to improve the suffering of farmers, PBBM

The suggestions made by the nearby rice processing company Chen Yi Agventures to help farmers become more productive will be studied by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

A day after his meeting with the French Patrick François Renucci and his Filipino-Chinese wife Rachel at Manila’s Malacanang Palace, Marcos made the announcement on Saturday.

“Yesterday, we met with officials of Chen Yi Agventures to hear their proposals to help farmers who are affected by the rising prices of fertilizers,” he wrote in a Facebook post. “Kahapon ay nakipagpulong tayo sa mga opisyal ng Chen Yi Agventures upang dinggin ang kanilang mga mungkahi (Yesterday, we met with officials of Chen Yi Agventures to

I would carefully consider the ideas offered by the corporation, Marcos said. “Kaugnay nito, isasailalim natin sa masusing pag-aaral ang mga naging suhestiyon ng nasabing kumpanya,” he continued.

Marcos, however, did not go into detail about Chen Yi Agventures’ suggestions.

He said that his meeting with the Chen Yi Agventures founders was a part of his efforts to enlist the assistance of the business sector in order to enhance the agricultural industry.

“This is part of our interaction with the private sector, including those from the agricultural industry, to hear their voice,” said Marcos, who is also the secretary of agriculture. “Ang hakbang na ito ay bahagi ng ating pakikipag-ugnayan sa pribadong sektor upang marinig ang boses ng mga kabilang sa ating sektor ng agrikultura.”

The local rice processing business Chen Yi Agventures focuses on sustainable investing and rice processing technology.

On Friday, Marcos met with representatives of Chen Yi Agventures to discuss methods for achieving national food security, according to a second Facebook post from the Office of the President (OP).

In keeping with his promise to give the agriculture industry priority, Marcos has presided over a number of meetings with technical specialists like the Chen Yi Agventures.

The Private Sector Advisory Council (PSAC) also sent Marcos a proposal in October to investigate supply chain optimization methods and digital farming practices.
