Dental records for employees are digitalized by PNP Bicol.

An electronic record-keeping management tool was made available by the Police Regional Office in Bicol (PRO-5) on Monday in order to digitize the dental data of its employees and their families.

The Dental Information Management Accuracy System (DIMAS), according to PRO-5 commander Brig. Gen. Rudolph Dimas, will speed up the storing, retrieval, management, and printing of their dental information.

“This is another milestone for PRO-5, and I hope that other offices will also look into developing their programs and taking advantage of the most recent technology,” Dimas said in his message. “Not only will this make our jobs easier and more efficient, but it will also allow us to serve better and more effectively.”

According to him, the initiative was a technology adaption strategy based on the peace and security campaign plan of the Chief of the Philippine National Police.

In an interview, PRO-5 spokesperson Lt. Col. Maria Luisa Calubaquib stated that the organization’s digital transformation had just begun with the digitalization of the dental data of its employees and dependents.

The PNP Personnel Accounting and Information System (PAIS) of all the roughly 12,000 active personnel of PRO-5 would be digitalized after the dental records, according to Calubaquib.

She stated that data on pay stubs, salaries, bonuses, awards, assignments, deductions, and adjustments will be included in the PNP PAIS.

The flag-raising ceremony and the launch both took place at the same time, and five PNP employees were honored for their steadfast commitment to duty and for going above and above the call of duty.
