VP Sara will talk about the issues and the strategies for the education report.

The Basic Education Report (BER) challenges and targeted action plan will be presented to the public on January 30 by Vice President and Education Secretary Sara Duterte, according to the Department of Education (DepEd).

Michael Poa, a spokesman for DepEd, emphasized in an interview that the presentation of the education chief aims to promote inclusivity and transparency for stakeholders across all sectors, particularly in the disclosure of educational status in the Philippines.

“Basic schooling has many difficulties. Nitin isa-isahin. It is unclear what the difficulties with basic education are. Aside from that, we will always list the issues that we face and debate them one at a time. The department is responsible for implementing various strategies and activities. Additionally, we shall discuss our objectives and initiatives, ” he added.

The DepEd also listed potential BER subjects, such as difficulties with learning loss and curriculum, among others.

“We have issues with the facilities at the schools, and we are also examining our curriculum. We are all aware of the World Bank’s report on learning poverty, which states that “our literacy has already been addressed.” The things that we are aware of are as follows: “said he.

The welfare of teachers and a number of other issues related to child protection are also anticipated to be covered.

The BER will be presented on January 30 as previously announced by the DepEd.

Since its establishment in November, the Learner Rights and Protection Office (LRPO) has received 78 complaints, according to Poa.

These complaints were made by “phone calls, Facebook discussions, and email.”

He said in a combination of English and Filipino, “So we now have an additional 78, I am now asking for statistics because we will be measuring how quickly our resolutions are.

Poa stated that proper confirmation of these claims is still being done.

“The majority of the reported occurrences are peer-to-peer bullying,” he added. “Ang karamihan po na narereport sa atin are incidents of (peer-to-peer) bullying.”

Finally, Poa reaffirmed that through these hotlines, complainants may express their issues in confidence.

He continued, “We are reminding the public that we have these LRPO hotlines, not only in the phone but also in email and Facebook, and they contact us to denounce these abuses.
