The inner lane expansion joints of the C5 Ortigas and C5 Pasig Boulevard flyovers will be repaired starting on Saturday, the Department of Public Works and Highways-National Capital Region (DPWH-NCR) stated on Thursday.

The DPWH-NCR announced in a Facebook post that the same repairs would also be made to the two flyovers’ inner lanes’ four meters in order to finish the rehabilitation project.

The first lane of the southbound portions of the aforementioned structures in Pasig City has just undergone repairs according to the DPWH – Metro Manila 1st District Engineering Office.

The two flyovers’ southbound portions’ 3.5-meter first lanes received chipping work from December 2, 2022, to January 15, 2023.

It now allows access to all kinds of vehicles and also features new extension joints on selected spans.

The DPWH-NCR urged all motorists with broad vehicles to use service roads as alternate routes since just 3.5 meters are practicable on the outside lane since heavier traffic is anticipated during the repair activities and curing period.

The construction work is scheduled to take place from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m.

It was also mentioned that the project would replace the worn-out expansion joints on the bridges, giving the spans’ structural integrity more solidity.

On February 21, the repairs are anticipated to be finished.
