According to the Office of Civil Defense (OCD), the cost of damage to infrastructure and crops as a result of the northeast monsoon, shear line, and low-pressure region that has pounded the nation since January 2 has exceeded PHP1.5 billion.

In its most recent disaster bulletin, the OCD reported that losses in the Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Bicol, Western Visayas, Central Visayas, Eastern Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, Davao Region, Soccsksargen, Caraga, and the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao included PHP1.05 billion in agriculture and PHP52

1,888 homes were damaged, affecting 497,273 families and more than 2 million people.

The BRP Davao Del Sur (LD-602) arrived at the Iligan Pier in Lanao Del Norte on Monday carrying about 358 tons of supplies for flood victims in Eastern Mindanao, according to a statement from the Philippine Armed Forces.

On January 28, the ship departed Subic Port in Zambales.

Additionally, on Saturday, the BRP Tarlac (LD-601) brought 276 tons of relief supplies to be readied for distribution to the afflicted families in the Zamboanga region by the Department of Social Welfare and Development and OCD.

Over the weekend, naval ships brought 634 tons of commodities to the impacted districts.
