Davao City opens a contact center for complaints from the public.
To hear the complaints of its citizens, the local administration opened the Davao City Contact Center (DCCC) on Thursday afternoon.
According to Mayor Sebastian Duterte, the center would act as the main contact point for questions and complaints with the city government.
According to Duterte, the center supports ongoing efforts by the local government to encourage citizens’ active involvement in the expansion and improvement of the city.
During the inauguration, he said, “This will be the ideal platform from which the government can listen to the voices of the citizenry and gauge the pulse of the people.”
Duterte urged regional public leaders to take citizens’ grievances and worries seriously.
The contact center will work as an information gateway for general questions concerning the services, initiatives, and policies of the municipal government and its agencies, according to Harvey Lanticse, officer-in-charge of the municipal Information Office (CIO).
According to him, DCCC now has 36 team members who are available 24/7 via publicly available cell and landline lines.
