Voters will be able to check if their ballots have been tallied on machines with high-speed scanning capabilities and screens that are at least 13 inches wide, according to the Commission on Elections (Comelec).

In order to assure greater transparency and quicker results, Comelec Chairperson George Garcia said they will be looking for the aforementioned elements in the new automated system they aim to use in the 2025 elections.

“We wish to employ a system where the device transmits to the relevant party simultaneously and all at once. He also stated that the terms of reference (TOR), which they want to release this week, are being accelerated.

By July, they also hope to begin the automated system’s purchase procedure.
