The Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) has taken over all duties and property previously held by the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) in Region XII (Soccsksargen).

At a ceremony held at the LTFRB central office in Quezon City, LTFRB chair Teofilo Guadiz III oversaw the transfer of digital copies of franchise paperwork to BARMM Transportation and Communications Minister Paisalin Tago.

“This day signifies not only the transfer of documents and obligations but also the realization of our southern brothers’ centuries-long desire for autonomy. We’ve now arrived at our destination—creating an autonomous zone that can effectively convey its feelings, according to Guadiz.

According to Tago, the LTFRB has transferred its commitment and responsibility through the turnover of the documents.

He remarked, “We are grateful to the LTFRB for putting the Bangsamoro Organic Law clause into effect.

According to Board Resolution No. 025, after the BLTFRB received permission to supervise franchise areas under its purview, it was necessary to transfer all assets, digital records, franchises, special permits, provisional authority, and other pertinent documents for routes under BARMM from the LTFRB regional office.
