In 1-2 weeks, the NCR Covid-19 positive rate may reach a peak of 25%.

As of May 9, there were 24.2 percent of those in the National Capital Region (NCR) have tested positive for coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19).

On Wednesday, OCTA Research Group fellow Guido David tweeted that a positive percentage of above 25% in the NCR “is almost a given at this time.”

We still anticipate the climax to occur in the next one to two weeks, he added.

On May 2, the region’s positivity rating was 19.7%.

As of May 10, the country has 1,476 new cases and 1,2706 active cases, resulting in a nationwide positive rate of 22.4%.

On May 11, according to David, the daily average of new Covid-19 cases is expected to range between 1,900 and 2,100.
