According to the meteorological bureau, the southwesterly wind flow hitting the western region of Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao will continue to drench sections of the nation with rain showers.
The result will be sporadic rain showers and thunderstorms over Palawan, where moderate to sometimes heavy rains might lead to flash floods or landslides, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
According to Grace Castaneda, a PAGASA meteorologist, the southwesterly wind flow would also bring rainfall to parts of the Davao Region and the western Visayas and Mindanao.
It will be warm over Metro Manila and the rest of the nation. Still, she said the southwesterly wind flow and isolated thunderstorms will increase the likelihood of rain showers in the afternoon.
Most of the archipelago continues to see light to moderate winds and small to moderate seas.
Typhoon Mawar, meanwhile, was last located 2,300 kilometers outside of the Philippine Area of Responsibility, east of the Visayas.
It is expected to enter PAR by Friday evening or Saturday, according to Castaneda, but it currently has little direct impact on the nation.
According to her, the weather disturbance may proceed toward extreme Northern Luzon and bring rain to a sizable portion of the nation.
