BI reminds passengers that falsified documents will not get them anywhere.
Travelers should avoid tampering with their documentation when seeking to leave the country, the Bureau of Immigration (BI) stated on Saturday.

He also urged anyone seeking work abroad to deal only with authorized organizations, such as the Department of Migrant Workers.
On May 21, authorities detained a male traveler headed for Bangkok, Thailand, at Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 in Pasay City.

Further questioning revealed that a relative had recruited him to travel to the island nation in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea while pretending to be a tourist.
Two women were detained at Terminal 1 the next day for possessing fake Kingdom of Saudi Arabia re-entry visas.
One of the two said that she had met her recruiter on Facebook and that they had been given the fake documents right before their flight.

They said that each bogus document cost them PHP500.
