The Philippine Air Force (PAF) is dedicated to becoming a more capable and sustainable service while improving its credibility, according to PAF chief Lt. Gen. Stephen Parreño. During the Air Force’s 76th founding anniversary celebration at Clark Air Base in Pampanga, Parreño emphasized the commitment to enhance capability, credibility, and sustainability, emphasizing quality and timelines.

Parreño highlighted the PAF’s significant progress in investing in technology, infrastructure, and human resources to achieve its goal of becoming a capable force. The PAF’s growth is evident in its robust air fleet, modern platforms, functional air bases, and well-trained personnel.

Furthermore, the PAF chief emphasized the expansion of air power utilization in joint operations and collaborations with local and international partners, demonstrating the Air Force’s growing credibility. Parreño also mentioned the importance of proactive supply management, asset maintenance, safety prioritization, and technological innovation in achieving sustainability.

These achievements, referred to as “bountiful blessings,” have enabled the PAF to serve the people and the nation better. Parreño thanked the PAF leadership, partners, stakeholders, and the government for their support and guidance.

The PAF, established on July 1, 1947, commenced its anniversary celebration with an exciting live capability demonstration at the Crow Valley Gunnery Range area, showcasing various operations such as intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance capabilities, fast rope insertion and extrication system operations, hoist rescue operations, and air-to-ground live-fire demonstrations.

Flight demonstrations at Clark Air Base included a high-speed opener pass by three FA-50 PH aircraft and a formation flight of T-41 aircraft forming the number “76,” symbolizing the PAF’s 76 years of existence and service.
