Justice Japar Dimaampao, a native of Marawi City, has reassured Mindanaoans that their voices will always be heard in the Supreme Court. According to a news release on Monday, Dimaampao highlighted the role of lawyers as “frontline soldiers on the battlefield,” fighting tirelessly to protect rights and defend the law, even making sacrifices along the way. He believes that this dedication is crucial in approximating justice on Earth and fulfilling our obligations to our fellow human beings.

Dimaampao recently delivered the same message at the IBP Western Mindanao Regional Convention in Dipolog City, where he expressed hope and optimism for greater inclusivity in the collective consciousness of the Filipino people.

The Supreme Court has also incorporated projects and reforms in the Shari’ah Legal System into its Strategic Plan for Judicial Innovations 2022-2027. This plan serves as an institutional blueprint for delivering responsive and real-time justice, particularly in addressing matters related to Muslim customary and personal laws.
