To serve the NLEX terminal, the LTFRB adjusts various jeep and bus routes.
The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) has adjusted certain public transportation routes from Bulacan province and Valenzuela City to the National Capital Region (NCR) to service customers heading to the North Luzon Express (NLEX) Terminal (NLET).
The Monumento – Sta. Maria Bulacan via NLEX public utility jeepney (PUJ) route is one of the changed routes, according to a Facebook post by the LTFRB on Friday.
“Pinapayagang magbaba at magsakay sa NLET at VGC [Valenzuela Gateway Complex] (Passengers can now be dropped off and loaded at the NLET and VGC),” according to the LTFRB.
The Monumento – NLET via VGC, NLEX route, the North EDSA – NLET via VGC, NLEX, Mindanao Exit route, and the Angat, Bulacan – Monumento route have all been updated, according to the report.
The Bocaue/Sta. Maria, Bulacan – North EDSA point-to-point bus route has also been amended, allowing buses to drop off and pick up passengers at the NLET.
To make it easier for commuters to get to NLET and other integrated terminals, the LTFRB has expanded interim bus service to these locations.
Since they commenced operations on December 29, 2021, the NLET – Araneta Bus Terminal (Cubao) via Mindanao Exit, C-5 route, and the NLET – Paranaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX) via NLEX, A. Bonifacio, Taft Avenue route will both continue operational until March 31.
“Possibleng ma-extend ang operasyon nito batay sa magiging pag-aaral ng LTFRB sa kasalukuyang pag-operate ng mga nabanggit na ruta,” the LTFRB added.
To help minimize traffic in the NCR, the LTFRB issued Memorandum Circular no. 2020-051, which confined the pick-up and drop-off of provincial and some P2P buses to fewer terminals.
To date, the Araneta Center Bus Terminal serves provincial and P2P buses traveling between NCR and Region 3, the PITX serving NCR to Region 4A, 4B, V routes, the VGC serving NCR to Region 3 routes, the NLET serving NCR to Region 1, 2, and CAR routes, and the Santa Rosa Integrated Terminal Exchange serving NCR to Visayas and Mindanao routes.
