Despite an increase in Covid cases, Zambo City has an 86.53 percent recovery rate.
Despite a spike in coronavirus disease, 2019 (Covid-19) cases in the past 24 days, the local health officials reported Thursday that the city has an 86.53 percent recovery rate.
Since the beginning of the pandemic in March 2020, the City Health Office has documented 25,400 total cases, with 21,981 recoveries, 2,2295 active cases, and 1,124 deaths.
It claimed that 2,248 of the 2,295 active cases were acquired through community transmission, accounting for 97.95 percent of the total.
It went on to say that 29 of the active cases involved authorized persons outside of their house; 10 involved Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) officials; five involved returning overseas Filipinos (ROFs); and three involved persons deprived of liberty (PDL).
According to the report, 69.8% of current cases are asymptomatic, 28.3% have mild symptoms, 1.3 percent are moderate, 0.3 percent are severe, and 0.3 percent are serious.
One hundred and fifteen people are from the community, three are persons deprived of liberty, three are detainees, one is from the APOR, one is from the Bureau of Corrections, and one is a locally-stranded individual (LSI).
Due to an increase in instances and risks posed by the Omicron variety of the Covid-19, the city was placed on Alert Level 3 on January 16.
