The northeast monsoon, or amihan, will bring rain to most parts of Luzon on Tuesday, according to the weather agency.

Rain showers are forecast across the Bicol Region and the provinces of Northern Samar, Eastern Samar, and Samar, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) in its 4 a.m. weather report.

During moderate to severe rainfall, flash floods or landslides are likely.

Cagayan Valley, Aurora, and Quezon will see light showers, while Metro Manila and the remainder of Luzon will see isolated light rains.

According to PAGASA forecaster Grace Castaeda, no weather disturbances are expected to hit the country.

“Rain and thunderstorms are possible in the Visayas and Mindanao,” she said, adding that partly overcast to the cloudy sky will prevail in these areas.

Meanwhile, over Luzon and the Visayas, moderate to severe winds and moderate to rough waves will prevail.

Over the northern and eastern seaboards of Northern Luzon, the eastern seaboards of Central Luzon, the western seaboard of Northern Luzon, and the eastern seafront of Bicol Region, strong to gale-force winds are expected.

Larger sea vessels are warned of strong waves, while fishing boats and other small sea vessels are cautioned not to enter into the water.

Winds will be light to moderate across Mindanao, with mild to moderate seas.
