For fully-vaccinated returning Antique residents, swab tests are no longer required.
Residents who have been fully vaccinated and are returning to Antique must just show their vaccination card, not a negative reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) test.
Governor Rhodora Cadiao signed an Executive Order on February 3 that lifted the requirement for a negative swab test, effective immediately until February 15, unless sooner canceled or extended.
Cadiao said she got multiple petitions from returning residents asking for the RT-PCR requirement to be lifted in an interview on Friday.
According to a report from the Integrated Provincial Health Office (IPHO), as of Jan. 30, 2022, 68 percent of the 622,828 target population in Antique had received their first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine, so it would be safer to allow returning residents with negative RT-PCR to return “re-energize the local economy.”
Returning residents, on the other hand, are urged to voluntarily isolate themselves in their houses for three to five days upon their return, as a precaution and for the safety of other family members.
Those with symptoms of coronavirus illness 2019 should see a doctor within three to five days of arriving, according to Cadiao “are encouraged to seek isolation and undertake necessary testing at their municipality’s authorized Covid-19 isolation facility.”
In addition to getting acceptance from their individual municipalities, returning citizens who are not completely vaccinated must submit the negative result of an RT-PCR test done three days prior to flight.
