‘Hard extraction’ is one of 54 CDO tags. Cases Covid-19

CITY OF CAGAYAN DE ORO – The municipal health office (CHO) here has classified 54 coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) positive cases as “hard extraction,” or those who chose to isolate at home despite the local government’s recommendation to use isolation facilities.

Dr. Ted Yu Jr., CHO medical officer, said in an online briefing on Wednesday that the local government has previously advised the patients to be confined in the Covid-19 certified isolation facility to guarantee their safety and prevent the virus from spreading locally.

“For the sake of your family members and loved ones, we require your full cooperation for those (called) “hard extraction” (positive cases that are difficult to extract). It is critical that you be sent to our facilities “he stated

According to him, 2,043 active patients are still being treated in the city’s temporary treatment facilities.

Mayor Oscar Moreno has stated that imposing certain charges for uncooperative positive cases will not fix the situation.

Moreno highlighted that isolating in Covid-19 facilities is still the best way to prevent the virus from spreading, as long as the necessary public health regulations are followed.

The CHO has recorded 29 new positive cases of Covid-19 as of February 15, bringing the total number of patients to 25,332; 22,315 have recovered, and 911 have died.

According to the newest CHO statistics, the bulk of Covid-19 active cases is outpatient, with only 355 positive persons currently admitted to various hospitals.

Yu noted that 12 of the 29 new cases in the city are presently being negotiated for transfer to a facility.

Meanwhile, the CHO said that the number of daily Covid-19 cases found in the city has decreased since the first week of the month when it was in the triple digits.

From February 2 to February 6, the local authorities recorded a triple-digit number of new cases every day.

However, from February 8 through Tuesday night, the number of Covid-a9 cases dropped into the double digits.

Yu urged the people to continue to observe the minimal public health standards and get vaccinated against Covid-19 in order to be protected against the virus.

Meanwhile, as part of Covid-19’s 27th anniversary, Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth)-10 Vice President Delio Aseron II said there are changed packages for Covid-19.

He explained that there are already available Covid-19 benefit packages for Community Isolation Units (CIU) and local government units (LGU), each with PHP22,449 for patients confined owing to Covid-19 pneumonia, in-patient packages for mild pneumonia, and the elderly.

Comorbidities will get a maximum of PHP43,000 apiece; moderate pneumonia will receive PHP143,000; severe pneumonia will receive PHP333,000; and critical pneumonia will receive PHP786,000.

The Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC) and Camp Evangelista Station Hospital at the headquarters of the Philippine Army’s 4th Infantry Division in Barangay Patag of this city provide the Community Home Isolation Package (CHIBP) for confirmed asymptomatic patients or mild cases of Covid-19, which costs PHP5,917 and includes home isolation kits, patient monitoring, and medicines.

Benefit packages for SARS-CoV-2 testing utilizing reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) were also adjusted in accordance with Circular No. 2021-0021: P800 to P2,800 for plate-based RT-PCR tests and PHP500 to PHP2,450 for cartridge-based RT-PCR tests.

Covid-19 is caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, which was discovered in tests.

This year, PhilHealth is anticipating the launch of its “Konsulta” package, which will provide citizens with improved primary care benefits.

The Gingoog City Health Office and JR Borja General Hospital in this city are currently the two accredited Konsulta providers in the region.
