MANILA, Philippines — Guillermo Eleazar, a senatorial candidate for the Partido Reporma, promised on Tuesday that if he wins a Senate seat in May, he will fight for adequate salary and benefits for force multipliers.

This involves providing health and life insurance to barangay tanods (village watchmen) as well as establishing an incentive system for security guards who assist in the prevention of criminal activity.

“Even the wealthiest countries with the most effective police forces are occasionally caught off guard by crimes and violent occurrences.” “Thank God for our force multipliers who assist the PNP in maintaining and maintaining the peace,” he added in a statement.

During his visit to Taguig City and Pateros over the weekend, Eleazar conducted a meeting with officers and members of the Bantay Bayan Foundation, Inc., where he laid out all of his platforms aimed at empowering the PNP’s force multipliers.

The Bantay Bayan Foundation Inc. is a group of volunteers who received training from the Office of the Ombudsman’s crime prevention unit (CPU) action officers to combat graft and corruption, criminality, and any threats to national security and peace and order.

Meanwhile, Eleazar expressed gratitude to the group for volunteering to help keep their communities in Taguig and Pateros free of criminal activity, as well as for endorsing his senatorial campaign, which is focused on maintaining peace and order.
