ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines — Since the vaccination program began in March of last year, at least 665,007 people, or 92.7 percent of the city’s target population, have been fully vaccinated, having received their second dosage.

According to a report released Tuesday by the City Health Office (CHO), the majority of completely vaccinated individuals are front-line workers in the crucial sector, with 155,471 belonging to the A4 priority group.

The remainder of the population came in second with 119,884 people, and indigents from the A5 priority category came in third with 110,659.

Individuals with comorbidity (A3), 79,073; senior citizens (A2), 54,872; ROPP 5 to 11 years old, 28,644; professionals in frontline health services (A1), 18,727; pediatrics with comorbidity 12 to 17 years old, 1,432; and pediatrics with comorbidity 5 to 11 years old, 284.

The city’s target population for immunization against coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) has been established at 716,960 by the Department of Health.

In a statement, CHO advised, “Get vaccinated for enhanced protection against Covid-19.”

According to CHO data, 141,355 people who were completely vaccinated had received their booster injections.

In addition, 676,577 people have gotten their first dose of immunizations, accounting for 94.36 percent of the target population of 716,960.
