The Department of Health in the Caraga Region (DOH-13) announced on Wednesday that the region’s coronavirus disease-19 (Covid-19) immunization rate had reached 71 percent.

As of June 5, the percentage equated to 1,610,706 fully immunize residents.

“As of the same day, a total of 3,350,788 vaccines to combat the coronavirus sickness 2019 had been administered in the region,” DOH-13 said in a report.

204,340 booster shots were given during the same time period, according to the report.

Individuals in the A4 category (frontline personnel in vital sectors) have the highest number of full vaccinations (357,207), followed by the ROAP (rest of adult population) with 269,348 and the ROPP (remain of the pediatric population aged 12 to 17) with 250,913 among the priority sectors.

During the period, a total of 218,022 people in the A5 category, representing the region’s indigenous population, were fully vaccinated; 213,682 in the A3 (those with comorbidities); 172,643 in the A2 (older citizens); and 54,935 in the A1 (frontline health workers).

DOH-13 also reported that 2,305 children aged 12 to 17 with comorbidities were fully vaccinated.

Outbound Overseas Filipino Workers and pregnant women make up the rest of the region’s fully vaccinated population.
