Despite the city’s continuous rise in coronavirus disease-2019 (Covid-19) cases in recent days, the city remains on Alert Level 1 from August 1 to 15.

The Department of Health (DOH), the executive body of the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases, made the announcement on Monday. The local government then made the announcement (IATF-EID).

Travel between and between zones is permitted under Alert Level 1, according to DOH, regardless of age or comorbidities.

The DOH guidelines provide that all businesses, people, or activities may be carried out to their full on-site or venue capacity as long as they adhere to the basic public health standards.

Face-to-face classes for basic education, according to the DOH, must first receive the President’s Office’s consent.

According to City Health Office (CHO) figures issued on Monday, there are now 158 active cases, including 21 new cases.

Out of the 158 cases that are still open, 156 are from the neighborhood, while the final two involve approved people who don’t live there.

Asymptomatic (50.6 percent), mild (38 percent), moderate (6.9 percent), and severe (4.5 percent) are the health states of the active cases.

The number of Covid-19 cases that have been recovered has increased to 28,139 as a result of 15 fresh recoveries, representing a 95.2% recovery rate.

Since the pandemic’s inception in March 2020, the city has had 29,554 total confirmed cases, with 28,139 recoveries, 1,257 fatalities, and 158 current cases.

Twenty of the 98 barangays in this city had ongoing Covid-19 instances, with three of those having double-digit cases.
