To allow staff to provide service throughout the exam period, the Supreme Court (SC), courts in the National Capital Region (NCR), and all cities with local testing locations for this year’s Bar examinations will be closed on Nov. 9 and 16.

According to a notice that was just published, the SC will call all of its meetings during the dates that the bar staff will be deployed to the regional testing facilities, from Nov. 5 to Nov. 22, “to enable the court to direct its main resources, time, and work towards the holding of the 2022 Bar examinations.”

To allow them to concentrate on their work related to the bar examinations without being distracted by other court-related tasks, it was added that all officials, staff, and employees of all courts who will be deployed and will render service during the preparations, actual conduct of the bar examinations, and post-bar examinations are considered to be on official time for the duration of the said deployment.

Associate Justice Benjamin S. Caguioa had urged the suspension of SC sessions in November and similar steps for other impacted courts last August, citing the deployment of a sizable portion of the court’s personnel as well as its physical resources.

According to the Supreme Court’s order, the 2022 Bar Examinations will be held at 14 regional testing locations across the nation on November 9, 13, 16, and 20.
