MANILA, Philippines — Most of the country will see sunny skies, with isolated rain showers expected in the afternoon and evening on Friday, according to the weather bureau.

Over Soccsksargen and Davao Region, the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) influencing southern Mindanao will bring scattered rain showers and thunderstorms.

“Until the end of March, there is a slight risk of a tropical cyclone. However, near the ITCZ, a low-pressure area (LPA) could form, affecting Mindanao, Palawan, and the Visayas. Take the necessary precautions “The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASABenison )’s Estareja stated.

Luzon will see sunny skies on Friday, especially until noon. It will be hot, with temperatures hitting 34 °C in Metro Manila and Tuguegarao, and 33 °C in Laoag.

Fairweather will also prevail throughout the Visayas and Mindanao, with only a little risk of rain showers till noon. In certain regions, though, thunderstorms are expected in the afternoon and evening.

The temperature in Zamboanga could reach 33 degrees Celsius, while Iloilo and Davao could reach 32 degrees Celsius.

Over the whole archipelago, light to moderate breezes and mild to moderate seas will persist.
