The northeast monsoon and the trough of a low-pressure area (LPA) will bring rain showers to the majority of the nation, the weather service predicted on Tuesday.

The trough of LPA is expected to bring isolated rain showers and thunderstorms to the Visayas, Caraga, Davao Region, Northern Mindanao, Zamboanga Peninsula, and Palawan.

Rain will fall across Metro Manila, Region 4-A (Calabarzon), the Bicol Region, Cagayan Valley, Aurora, and the rest of Luzon due to the northeast monsoon.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) warned that due to moderate to occasionally severe rains, all of these places might potentially experience flash floods or landslides.

Over the rest of Mindanao, isolated rain showers brought on by localized thunderstorms will occur.

The entire archipelago will continue to experience moderate to high gusts and moderate to rough seas.

The eastern coasts of Luzon and the Visayas, as well as the western and northern coasts of Northern Luzon, are expected to see rough to very rough seas.

Fishing boats and other small seacrafts were cautioned not to enter the water, and bigger seacrafts were warned against strong waves.
