Benhur Abalos Jr., secretary of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), stated on Sunday that senior police officers who choose to retire early or who submit courtesy resignations will nevertheless be thoroughly probed.

PNP chief Gen. Rodolfo Azurin Jr. had earlier claimed that at least 10 police officers were reportedly involved in narcotics trafficking.

He questioned whether the courtesy resignations of these 10 officers had been tendered, nevertheless.
