Employees of DAR-Bicol are taught enterprise-based community development
At least 109 employees of the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) 5 (Bicol) are enrolled in a six-day training course on enterprise-based agrarian reform community development to improve their skills as community organizers and enterprise development facilitators (E-ARCOD).
The training is part of the government’s active execution of the agricultural reform program, according to Gerard Buensalida, the DAR-5 spokesperson, who stated this in an interview on Tuesday. This will allow them to participate in the development interventions of the agrarian reform communities (ARCs).
“The Patio de San Jose Resort and Convention Center in Malilipot, Albay, will host two training sessions. Following the start of the second batch, which will include 56 participants from Camarines Sur I, Camarines Sur II, and Camarines Norte, the first batch, which included 53 participants from Catanduanes, Masbate, Sorsogon, and Albay, is currently ongoing “said Buensalida.
He stated that they would receive training in developing innovative growth plans and effective development plans for ARCs and farmer organizations.
Engineer Romulo Britanico, the DAR-5 Assistant Regional Director for Operations, said in a statement that DAR views the delivery of the E-ARCOD program as crucial for the implementation of entrepreneurial activity in the ARCs.
According to Britanico, the role of the development facilitators is to raise the beneficiaries of the agricultural reform’s standard of living so that they may actively participate in the government’s development initiatives.
