More than 200 millionaires want increased taxes on the extremely wealthy in a letter to world leaders attending the Davos Economic Forum on behalf of “our common good.”

Millionaires from 13 different nations have signed the letter, which was posted online on Wednesday by costofextremewealth.com.

The writers claim that the letter is a call to world leaders to enact a tax on the extremely wealthy.

The millionaires said in their letter, “You, our representatives in the globe, must tax us ultra-rich, and you must start now.”

“As millionaires, we want to make that investment in our common good and a brighter future that we all deserve,” they declared.

The richest people in the world have seen a 50% growth in wealth over the past ten years, claims the non-governmental group Oxfam.

The letter’s signatories include American actors Mark Ruffalo and Abigail Disney, a producer who is Walt Disney’s great-niece.

A similar letter was written by the wealthy to the heads of state and government in Davos in 2022.
