On Monday, MSMEs working in this province’s furniture and guitar manufacturing industries received livelihood kits from the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) provincial office.

The action is part of the DTI’s Pangkabuhayan sa Pagbangon at Ginhawa (PPG) program, which aims to assist MSMEs affected by fire events and other tragedies, like as the Covid-19 outbreak, in recovering and relaunching their enterprises.

29 woodworking kits and 19 guitar-making kits were among the supplies handed to eligible program participants, according to DTI Pampanga Provincial Director Elenita Ordonio.

By providing affected firms and communities with livelihood assistance and entrepreneurship development initiatives for microenterprises, she claimed the program intends to hasten the rehabilitation of those entities.

The recipients of the livelihood kits commended the DTI for the program, claiming it offered them the chance to start their businesses again and recoup from their losses.

“Kami po ay lubos na nagpapasalamat sa binigay ang tulong ng DTI,” said the speaker. Malaking tulong ito dahil kami po ay nawalan ng hanapbuhay (We are extremely appreciative of the DTI’s support. This is a huge relief to us because we lost our source of income, Rodolfo dela Rosa, one of the program’s recipients, said in an interview.

Ordonio claimed that those who were most severely impacted by the epidemic and either closed down or reduced their personnel were the micro-entrepreneurs.

She said that in addition to receiving livelihood kits, program participants also received training to support the launch, growth, innovation, and marketing of their enterprises.
